Burnout alert! Yea, I don’t really know what to write about today. It’s just been one of those days where adrenaline was high from morning to now, and I’m in crash mode for the rest of the night. The days here have been all over the place, hectic, slow, busy, bipolar, but always always fun. That’s one thing I can say for everyone around here, they know how to find the fun. Intern pranks, rowdy rugby girls, office hijinks, TACO TUESDAYS!
Met a guy last night that had been trying all year to get the A-standard (track requirement to be invited to Olympic trials). Thing is, all of his times were wind-aided, meaning no A-standard, no trials, no Olympics. Crazy, right? But yea, it happens. The really crazy thing was that the guy had a smile on his face the entire time he was telling me this. Cause now he can go out on a weeknight.
Sometimes my job is great, really great. And sometimes it’s not so great like when I get to spend a few hours in a chair by the boathouse monitoring a media visit. On the other hand, I spent the rest of that day driving a CNN crew around in my golf cart and watching their top weatherman fall into the reservoir. Twice.
Constant party in the weightroom. Nothing but pain, sweat, and Selena Gomez.
“I..I love you like a love song, baby.”
